David Sells founded Open Trails Rentals in 2015 with a simple idea — Middle Tennessee deserved a local trailer rental company that was honest about pricing, reliable on delivery, and actually available when something went wrong. Ten years later, that's still exactly what we are.
We started with a small inventory and a commitment to upfront pricing — no hidden fees, no surprise charges, no runaround. That commitment hasn't changed as we've grown. We now offer five categories of rentals and have served customers across the region for everything from Bonnaroo camping trips to emergency food storage for restaurants to housing families displaced by floods and fires.

Open Trails Rentals is a family business in the truest sense. David and Jessica founded it together, their daughter Delaney leads the marketing, and Jonathan keeps deliveries running on time.
David co-founded Open Trails with Jessica in 2015 and has spent the past decade building a rental company Middle Tennessee can count on. He also co-founded On-Site Solutions Partners, bringing the same no-nonsense, show-up-when-it-matters approach to both businesses.
Jessica co-founded Open Trails Rentals alongside David in 2015 and manages all accounts payable and receivable for the business. Her background in county government finance brings discipline and accountability to the operation — keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Delaney is David's daughter and leads all marketing and social media for Open Trails Rentals. As the next generation of the family behind this business, she brings fresh energy and personal investment to building a brand that reflects who we actually are.
Jonathan is the person who gets your rental to you. As our primary delivery driver, he handles the logistics of getting equipment where it needs to be — on time and set up right. When your trailer shows up ready to go, Jonathan is the reason why.
